Production Post 1 - Possible Ideas
This week we began to peice together our ideas for our music video. My first step was deciding what I wanted to include in my video and I chose to have a dancer who was rehearsing in an empty studio with her partner. My next task was choosing an appropriate song to match this idea. I listened to a few slow songs that built up at the end. My final decision was 'You've Got The Love' by Florence and the Machine. Now I had both the song and the idea, it was time to write my script and put all my ideas to the length of the song. I watched many different videos which included dances in and the one I most admired and wanted to recreate was 'Breathe Slow' by Alesha Dixon.

Resource Audit - Initial Planning Ideas
My initial thoughts on this years task are that I know I want to use the same model I used for my magazine. This is because she is a dancer and performer and feel that she would be perfect to star in a music video. I would have the use of her dance studio and stage to film in which would mean I wouldn't have to hire out a location and minimize my costs. Song choice is the next step, Florence and the Machine's 'You've Got the Love' is at the top of my list at the moment and I am looking at contemporary dances that could work, also I am inspired by the video 'Breath Slow' by Alesha Dixon.
I am hoping to contact a few studios and see if it would be possible to rent out their studio for a few hours to allow me to film so that there is a professional look to the whole video. The next planning steps will involve me deciding what other locations I want so that the music video has visual progression throughout.
